DR. ROBERT E. NIEBUHR JOINS BUSINESS ADVISORY GROUP of LINC PREFERRED
GROUP
COOKEVILLE,
TN. – April 21, 2004 – Mr. James K. Morton,
Chairman, and CEO of LINC Preferred Group, Inc. announced today
the addition of Dr. Robert Niebuhr to its BUSINESS ADVISORY GROUP.
The Advisory Group is chaired by former Congressman Ed Bryant who
is currently a Partner at Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz.
“We are very pleased to have Dr. Niebuhr join our group.
We value his leadership experience and share a common vision of
defining new solutions to improve the profitability of the transportation
industry,” said Morton.
“With fuel prices soaring, there is a real need for fleets
to lower their operating costs and simplify their supply chain
management. I am eager to work with LINC to improve productivity,
create innovative business solutions and positively influence the
profitability of the transportation industry,” said Niebuhr.
Dr. Niebuhr, since July 2001, has served as Dean of the College
of Business Administration at Tennessee Tech University. During
his tenure, the college has introduced a distance-based MBA program
that currently has over 70 working professionals enrolled offsite.
Additionally, an emphasis on external endeavors has resulted in
multi-media contracts with such firms as Averitt Express, Clayton
Homes, and the Nashville Sounds. Most noteworthy was the Johnson
Hall renovation which resulted in complete refurbishing of several
classrooms and conversion of the entire facility to a wireless
environment.
Previously, Dr. Niebuhr was a faculty member at the College of
Business at Auburn University for twenty-four years where he served
Auburn as head of the Management Department, as interim Dean, as
Executive Director of Corporate Relations, and as Director of the
Physicians Executive MBA Program. Prior to his academic career,
Dr. Niebuhr worked as a metallurgical engineer for ten years and
then completed his doctorate in management at Ohio State University.
He earned his B.S. from the University of Cincinnati and his M.S.
from Ohio State.
