COOKEVILLE, TN. – April 8, 2004 – Mr. James K. Morton,
Chairman, and CEO of LINC Preferred
Group, Inc. announced today that former U.S. Congressman Ed Bryant
would serve as Chairman of the
Business Advisory Group for LINC. LINC Preferred Group is the parent
company that will utilize best practice procurement strategies
to deliver
products and services to a number of focused industry groups. The
initial
operating division, LINCedge, was introduced in February 2004 to
address the
needs of the transportation industry.
“Congressman Bryant’s record of tackling big issues
and working toward
problem resolution is the perfect fit to lead a group of industry
professionals assisting LINC’s senior management team as
we develop
strategies to improve the industry,” said Morton.
Bryant holds Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor degrees from the
University of Mississippi. Previously,
he taught Military and Constitutional law at the U.S. Military
Academy at West Point, practiced law
with the firm Waldrop and Hall in Jackson and was U.S. Attorney
for the Western District of Tennessee
under a Presidential appointment. Bryant served as a U.S. Congressman
for the 7th District of Tennessee
from 1995 to 2003 and was a member of the Judiciary, Agriculture
and Energy and Commerce
committees. He also served as House Manager for the Senate impeachment
trial of President Bill
Clinton. Currently, he is a partner in Baker, Donelson, Bearman,
Caldwell & Berkowitz, one of the 200
largest law firms in the United States.

the small and medium trucking companies, but suppliers to the industry
as well as customers
served by the industry,” said Bryant.
LINC’s senior management team includes Mr. Morton, who served
as Vice President – Worldwide
Operations for Fleetguard Inc., a subsidiary of Cummins Engine
and President – Separation
Technologies, a specialty filtration company. Russ Bunio serves
as LINC’s President and COO.
Mr. Bunio held the position of Vice President and General Manager
Supply Management& Procurement for the Boeing
Company, retiring 6/1/2000. Prior to that, he served as Vice President
and
Chief Procurement Officer for Cummins for nine years and worked
in various high level material
positions with General Motors for nineteen years. Also on the senior
management team is Terrence R.
Wilson, Executive Vice President, and Chief Customer Officer. His
previous experience includes
President/CEO of Morgan Corporation, the leading producer of truck
bodies in the industry. He also
served as President/COO of Magnatech International and various
senior level positions with Teledyne,
Inc.
