LINC Preferred Group Announces Russell J. Bunio, President and
Chief Operating Officer
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – March 22, 2004 – LINC Preferred
Group, Inc. announced today the appointment of Mr. Russell J. Bunio,
57, as President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Bunio was appointed
by LINC’s Board of Directors following the company’s
recent formation of the LINCedge business unit set to address the
needs of the transportation industry.
“Russ is exactly the right leader for LINC,” said
Morton. “His strong procurement background and vision of
reforming the purchasing practices for fleets compliment the strategies
that LINCedge has adopted to level the playing field in the transportation
industry. His proven management experience will help shape the
LINCedge business unit and boldly transcend our purchasing relationships
into other industries.”

Mr. Bunio has served as President of RJB and Associates, since
2001, where he lead a supply chain management group and focused
on the implementation of best practices to improve efficiency and
cost. Prior to managing RJB and Associates, Bunio held the position
of Vice President and General Manager of Supply Management and
Procurement for the Boeing Company (1998 – 2001, retiring
6/1/2001). Additionally, Mr. Bunio held various positions with
Cummins Engine Company, Inc. (1989-1998) leading to the position
of Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer for Cummins. From
1986-1989, Mr. Bunio was Director of Materials Management at New
United Motors Manufacturing, Inc. (NUMMI). Mr. Bunio’s career
started with General Motors (1970-1989) with assignments in Components
Divisions in Dayton, Ohio, Detroit, Michigan, Montreal, Canada,
and Matamoros, Mexico. Mr. Bunio earned his B.S. in Economics from
West Virginia University and G.E.S. European American Study Center,
Basel, Switzerland.
